I was looking for a basic doll for my 6 year old when I found this one. She already has a Baby Alive (the expensive one that requires batteries, food, diapers, etc) so I was skeptical when I saw a bunch of new Baby Alive dolls on the market. But this one is perfect - it requires nothing extra and is just a cute, plain baby doll. The little "extra" is with the baby bottle (which thankfully is attached to the dolls wrist). When you put the bottle in the dolls mouth and twist, the little feet kick up and down. Very cute.

This doll is great! There was another SS doll that was the same size for twice the price. This one doesn't have the original outfit on, but my little 5 year old loves her just the same. She smells so good, too! She came in her winter outfit with gloves and shoes and a hairbrush and a nice sized Custard the Cat. You get a lot for the money. It was money well spent. And, the box came in a timely manner, Priority shipped in perfect condition. I highly recommend this doll for any little girl who loves Strawberry Shortcake. I bought this doll for my 2-year-old daughter while I was pregnant with my son. Since she was going through that "mommy" stage where she always wants to nurture her dolls like a baby, I wanted to get her a doll that could be her own baby while I had my baby (my son that was coming) to care for. The only thing that I was disappointed about was that from the picture I assumed that I was going to get a doll dressed in blue for a boy (wanted it to be like my daughter caring for her brother) but I received one dressed in pink instead.
