I bought the Little Katherine doll for my daughter's Christmas present last year. We purchased ours from JCP for about $[...] less than Amazon. This doll is intended for 18 months and up. It has a soft body and vinyl hands, feet, and the head. It even says you can machine wash this doll. I haven't yet, and probably won't, but it is nice to know you have that option. It is the cutest doll and is perfect for a little girl's first real doll. It comes with just the right amount of clothing, the top and pants and socks, plus a diaper. Not too much to lose! The hair is very pretty and silky and come with a cute little pony tail on top. You can brush the hair just like real hair too. Little Katherine's thumb also goes in her mouth, but my daughter won't let her do that! My daughter is almost 3 years old now and just loves this doll.
